Lantern Trousers in Khaki or Soft Sand

At the base, a buttoned hem tab introduces an adjustable closure reminiscent of mid-20th century military trouser construction. Seen in field uniforms such as the British Army and US M-43 / M-51, this system was designed to tighten the leg opening around boots, prevent debris entry, and control fabric in motion. 

Left open, the leg falls wide and relaxed; fastened, it draws inward, creating a more contained form. The garment moves between these states through a simple structural adjustment.

Panel lines guide volume across the leg, while knee shaping introduces a natural articulation point. Movement is absorbed through construction, maintaining clarity of form.

The silhouette follows a barrel leg, widening through the thigh before tapering toward the hem. This curvature is shaped through cut rather than excess, creating a rounded profile that sits away from the body.

60% cotton, 40% polyamide fiber (nylon)

Care
Hand wash recommended at temperatures below 40°C. If machine washing, use a gentle or delicates cycle. Do not bleach or use harsh detergents. Do not wring or scrub aggressively. Do not tumble dry.

Dry in shade. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight.
