Vestige Ruffle Vest

A study in softness and restraint, the Vestige Ruffle Vest reinterprets Victorian dress codes through a contemporary lens. Cut in a lightweight cotton-blend fabric, the silhouette is sharply tailored through the torso before opening into subtle volume at the hips. Cascading ruffles descend through the front placket, introducing movement and texture against an otherwise disciplined form.

At the back, an adjustable corset-inspired lacing system allows the silhouette to be shaped closer to the body, creating a gentle cinching effect that contrasts with the softness of the fabric. The result is a garment that moves between tailoring and romanticism, structure and collapse.

Worn alone, the waistcoat offers a sculptural approach to evening dressing. Layered over shirting or paired with voluminous trousers, it becomes a contemporary interpretation of historical dress.
