Napoleon Jacket

A sharply tailored military-inspired jacket constructed from a structured cotton-nylon blend that balances rigidity with a slight technical sheen.

Ornamental frogging and engraved metal buttons reference Napoleonic ceremonial uniforms, while the fitted waist, elongated sleeves, and curved front hem pull the silhouette into darker industrial territory.

The piece draws from the construction language of Napoleon Bonaparte’s military uniforms, originally tailored by Chevallier and later Lejeune during the early 19th century. Rather than formal civilian dress, Napoleon famously preferred the disciplined practicality of cavalry regiment uniforms — tightly cut silhouettes designed for structure, movement, and authority.

Here, that militaristic precision is reworked through elongated cuffs, adjustable sleeve tabs, and washed hardware detailing that shifts the jacket into a more underground, post-industrial context.
