A shirt defined by surface, temperature, and controlled fluidity.
The form follows a short-sleeve, open-front construction, referencing lightweight summer shirting adapted for contemporary wear. The silhouette remains conventional in structure —
relaxed through the body, with a clean shoulder line and soft drape — allowing the material to carry the primary expression.
Cut from a Tencel–nylon blend, the fabric introduces a dual logic. Lyocell (Tencel) provides a smooth, breathable surface with a natural cooling effect, historically derived from regenerated cellulose fibres engineered for moisture management and skin contact. This is balanced by nylon, which introduces tensile strength and structural resilience — preventing collapse while maintaining lightness.
The result is a fabric that sits between softness and control — fluid in movement, but stable in form.
A lapel collar anchors the piece within a familiar shirting vocabulary, while the open-front (cardigan-style) closure shifts it away from traditional button-up structures. This adjustment allows the garment to be worn with variation — layered or standalone, open or partially closed.
Colour is held within a muted register — light grey-green and brown tones — calibrated for summer conditions, where light interacts directly with surface. The fabric reflects subtly, producing a slight sheen that shifts with movement.
Designed for warm-weather wear, the material remains breathable and cool against the body, with a conventional weight that balances structure and comfort.
