Annalise Ianni
Annalise was born and raised in Sydney within a strong Italian-Australian family shaped by migration and resilience. Her maternal family came from a fishing village in Messina, Sicily, later settling in the Woolloomooloo housing commission where they built a new life in Australia.
Though Italian citizenship was left behind, culture and community remained central, carried forward through generations.
Ettore Pacilli
Born and raised in Sydney, Ettore’s heritage reflects the layered story of Italian migration to Australia. His father immigrated from Latina in the Central-Italian Lazio region, while his mother grew up between Five Dock and Leichhardt – neighbourhoods shaped by Sydney’s Italian diaspora – with Neapolitan and Roman roots tracing back to families who arrived in the 1960s.
For Ettore, identity lives between cultures, where Italian tradition continues within contemporary Australian life.
